I grew up in Northern California and have lived in various places across the US. Spokane has been my home for the past 18 years. I love the beauty of the Northwest - the changing seasons, the growth and renewal. The Northwest is a perfect metaphor for life - the seasonal transitions, the dramatic weather, the long dark winters and the golden summer light. I love spending time outside - running, hiking, skiing, wake surfing or reading on my porch.

I spent 15 years photographing families and relationships. I fell in love with people’s faces and how much we say with our eyes or shoulders. We are so complex and there is always so much just below the surface. A few years ago I became aware of the great need for more mental health resources and went back to school to earn my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Gonzaga University.

Each new person I meet reminds me how different we are - we each have such a unique story. And - we all want the same things: to be loved, known, accepted, understood and enough. Everyone is worthy and deserving of these things and I believe everyone is capable of change and growth, hope and healing.
